Apps could be on the way out, soon to be replaced by html5 web based versions.

The advantages to this are:

1 – No fee to pay the Apple iStore

2 – Can run flash based advertising ad slots

3 – Can run on any mobile device, not restricted to Apple iPad or iPhone.

Maybe Apple’s monopoly is coming to an end, and with forecasts for later this year showing that there will be more non apple mobile tablet devices than iPads (Samsung, Blackberry etc are all making mobile ‘Android’ tablets) the market is going to be blown wide open.
